Joseph E. Dever

Born Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 1967.  Mr.. Dever has been litigating catastrophic injury cases in state and federal courts throughout the United States for over 16 years.  After graduating law school with honors, Mr. Dever worked for many years at a prominent, national law firm where he represented pharmaceutical companies and other large corporations in multi-district and class action litigation.  Mr. Dever also formerly represented hospitals, insurance companies, and manufacturers in cases involving medical malpractice, general negligence, and product defects.  In 1999, Mr. Dever co-founded Dever and Feldstein, LLC with the goal of providing individuals and families with the same aggressive and high quality legal representation that is available to large corporations and insurance companies.  Over the last 10 years, Mr. Dever has represented hundreds of individuals and families in Maryland and other states in cases involving catastrophic injury and wrongful death.  Most of these cases have been referred by other lawyers who are familiar with Mr. Dever's reputation and track record in handling complex cases.  Mr. Dever is also highly respected by his adversaries; in fact, hospitals that Mr. Dever has successfully sued have subsequently invited him to speak to their physicians and nurses on the subject of avoiding medical malpractice.  Mr. Dever is a longstanding member of the medical negligence section of American Association for Justice (formerly the American Trial Lawyers Association), as well as the Maryland Association for Justice and the Maryland Bar Association.
